Tourism Sustainability Plan Terres de Mestral, Outdoor Park of the Costa Daurada

Tourism Sustainability Plan Terres de Mestral, Outdoor Park of the Costa Daurada, is a project with an investment of 1,875 million euros financed by the Next Generation funds to be developed between 2023 and 2025.

The plan is aligned with the strategic axes defined in the Sustainable Tourism Strategy of Spain 2030, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Strategic Tourism Plan of Catalonia, the Marketing Plan of Tourism Catalonia and the new Tourism Model of MIDIT.

The actions revolve around four programme axes:

The plan consists of the following tractor projects:

Creation of NAUTIC PARK

by means of an underwater maritime park and regulation of access to the foothills area and the Cova Llop Marí in Hospitalet de l'Infant

Creation of BIKE LAND - FAMILY AND SPORTS CYCLING TERRITORY,

with a green track from Hospitalet de l'Infant to beach o Torn which will start at the old train station of L'Hospitalet de l'Infant which will become an ebike centre. A MTB Center with a Pumptrack will be created in Pratdip. And MBT's routes from Camí de Mestral will be incorporated

Creation of THEMED HIKING NETWORK FROM THE SEA TO THE MOUNTAIN

with the incorporation of experiential and thematic walking trails into nature, which will be complemented by the renovation and modernization of the Interpretation Center of the Natural Area Protected from the Serra de Llaberia and by the improvement of the signaling and equipment of the Route Camí de Mestral walking

Creation of a space specializing in CLIMBING AND VIA FERRATA FOR ALL AUDIENCES

through a Station Trail Running, hiking and climbing, at Tivissa Camping, which will be complemented by the installation of a rockodrome

Boost DIGITAL TERRITORIAL TRANSITION

To direct it towards an intelligent tourist destination, through an intelligent signalling plan. As well as a Digital Tourist Marketing Plan, with the creation of digital promotional materials. And the creation of an ecommerc platform for the promotion and marketing of tourism products and offer.

The plan will mean a transformation of the current tourism model towards greater specialisation, diversification, destationalisation and digitisation of supply, which must enable companies to improve their competitiveness and generate new economic opportunities for the inhabitants of the Commonwealth, Vandellòs i l’Hospitalet de l'Infant, Tivissa and Pratdip.

It is a plan that must promote responsible and sustainable tourism linked to nature, outdoor activities and sport.
